Hello, I'm Josh Blum, LMHC!

A Jewish Native New Yorker who spent several years after undergrad in the fashion industry before pursuing his true passion which is helping individuals define, identify, and overcome obstacles that may impede connections with the self and others.

My eclectic approach includes, but is not limited to working from a psychodynamic, modern psychoanalytic, and relational perspective—incorporating cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based modalities as needed. I specialize in working with adults, couples, and families on various different topics. My practice focuses on cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship which is at the utmost importance in order to provide a safe environment to build upon your own narrative. I strives to bring my authentic self into the therapy space as a way of helping patients do the same.

I have extensive training and experience in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and issues relating to: Anxiety, Depression, self-esteem, addiction, trauma, learning disabilities, neurodivergence, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender roles, non-traditional relationships, and religious identities.
