Josh Blum, LPC, LMHC

A Jewish Native New Yorker who spent several years after undergrad in the fashion industry before pursuing his true passion, which is helping individuals define, identify, and overcome obstacles that may impede connections with the self and others.

My eclectic approach includes working from a psychodynamic, modern psychoanalytic, and relational perspective—incorporating cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based modalities as needed. I specialize in working with adults, couples, and families on various topics. My practice focuses on cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship in order to provide a safe environment to build upon your own narrative. I strive to bring my authentic self into the therapy space as a way of helping patients do the same.

I have extensive training and experience in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and issues relating to: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, addiction, trauma, learning disabilities, neurodivergence, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender roles, non-traditional relationships, and religious identities.
